Close Encounters

Ok, so as mentioned on Monday of this week, I am going to blog about ET and UFO's....again...

This time I would like to ask the question as to if and when we do make contact (on a global scale) with an alien race, how will we as a civilization react? Or better yet, how will you as an individual react?

We used to hear stories about people getting "abducted" and probed in unfortunate places. However, news of those stories kindof died out. If they were true then maybe those were different or uneducated aliens. However, it begs further questions as to why would they want to probe us....in the anus???

Lets ignore the "Anus Aliens" and wipe them away into the pile of toilet paper type stories that they most probably are. Instead lets try to understand how we would react to a real "Close Encounter". Many Hollywood productions have depicted the event of this type of magnitude to be of a fearsome, blood thirsty race of ET who have traveled across the Universe to our little blue planet on the edge of the Milky Way Galaxy, to simply wipe us out. Uh ok...even to me that doesn't make any sense. Why do that? If they are like that then...maybe ET isn't so different from ourselves, in which case we would have a fighting chance of survival....which is usually the case in these movies...WE WIN!!

From what I have been reading up on and researching, if ET was bad or wanted our planet for resources, it would have happened already.“The fact that you and I are still breathing the free air of Earth is abundant testimony to the fact that these civilizations are not hostile.” Dr Steven Greer talking to Art Bell, 8 August 2004. You have to admit...he has a point.

There seems to be a growing trend now days, that refers to ET as an Inter-dimensional being, one that is more likely to communicate on a spiritual level through a process of Transcendental Meditation. In a way I can see how this would be the most logical and most direct form of communication. One where there is no need for a language of sort as communication is processed through thought, which is most simply energy. All we need to do is tune into the right frequency. Yes this may be getting a bit "far out" for some, but I am merely just reporting on what has been said by those in the know. Google CSETI to find out more about this.

There are also theories that we have already been visited, but people in high positions have not allowed the news to break into the mainstream media (even tho there's plenty of stuff on YouTube), as some feel that the human race isn't ready for this type of intervention. Some feel that the fundamental basis of religion will break down and the human race will spiral into chaos. Well, I highly doubt this will happen. I mean yes there may be added chaos due to some people that may feel threatened, but the world is already in a state of chaos (without the announcement of ET contact or existence for that matter). In this day in age, we are still fighting like animals for territory and natural resources. The global economy is in a state of meltdown and yet the ELITE still want access to oil.

If anything, we need a global encounter to bring us all together (yes I know I have said this before).

This, as Ronald Reagan pointed out in 1987 during an address to the UN, could be what we need for all of us to come together and forget our differences. We need to stop and think about what is really happening. Who are the bad guys? Is it us, or them? Humans have reached a point where we have the capability of driving ourselves into complete extinction as well as affect the natural processes of our home planet. That doesn't really make us a stable and peaceful race of living beings to make contact with or to even bother destroying, as we are perfectly capable of destroying ourselves. If anything an Alien encounter would be beneficial for us.

So the main question, which I keep on deferring from, is how would you react? Would you wrap your head in tin foil to prevent your brain from turning to mush? (even though an intelligent race of aliens may...just may have the ability to not be affected by tin foil as amazing as tin foil is)

Would you run for hills in groups of screaming masses, in the hope that THEY won't find you? (Even though they may be good as opposed to bad. In the case of the "bad" possibility...they would probably find you either way)

Or, would you stand in amazement and welcome the visitors?

Personally, I would be both excited and somewhat afraid of such an event. The same can be said for the eventual announcement of "CONTACT" or the disclosure of proof of ET contact. Either way, if these guys are good or bad, they are still way more advanced than us puny humans and so we should probably treat them as well as the idea of THEM with a bit of respect. The YouTube clip below is one that I have recently found. Dr Michio Kaku, the well-known theoretical physicist has been going on about this sort of stuff for quite some time. I guess we just have to wait and see if his theories are true or false. The following video also includes extracts from news reports of UFO's.
